Los Angeles guard Jerry West was one of the best basketball players to ever grace the hardwood. West’s long list of accolades was more than impressive but as the Lakers headed into the 71-72 season the only thing that eluded him was an championship. Even with West’s stellar play the Lakers lost in the Finals six times in eight years to the Boston Celtics. The 1971-72 season broke the Hall of Famer’s Championship drought as the team would go on to defeat the New York Knicks four games to one; West’s first title as well as the Lakers first title since moving from Minneapolis. Poly double knit body. Two color twill name number and logo.
