Before the 2013 season one of the greatest closers of all-time Mariano Rivera announced his farewell tour with the Yankees. Rivera became the first-ever active Yankee to have his uniform number retired before his last game.

In his final game Rivera pitched 1+1?3 innings without allowing a baserunner.
